Missional Journey
Being missional is not a program or latest fad, it is a mindset that moves a community from doing church to being the church. Missional churches live by the recognition that they are a communal body of Christ followers, mutually committed and responsible to one another and to the continued mission Jesus set upon us; to build the kingdom of God. (John 20:21-22, Matthew 28:19)
Missional churches seek to minister by being the presence of Christ both in their local communities and in the global community of God's world. They do not recruit memebers into an organization through an individualized version of the gospel, but rather speak boldly and often with their lives in order that the Word of God can be clearly seen in Scripture, history and in the present. Missional churches step beyond the boundaries of tradition and engage the culture with a message of justice, grace, hope and reconciliation.
